What joy! Some warm, summer sunshine at last.

Now the evenings are lighter there is no excuse to stay in, in front of the telly, get yourself out and visit Havant Spiritualist church.

We have plenty going on – healing on Tuesday afternoon and Thursday evening; Beginners Circle on Thursday evening (after the healing session); services on Wednesday and Sunday evening. On Thursday afternoon we have our Craft Group.

For me the highlight is our twice-monthly Alternative evenings (June 14 and 28, July 12 and 26), when you bring along an open mind, prepared to ask questions and find out more about Spiritualism, and spirituality. (There is a small charge, but it’s worth it – you get a free cuppa!)

The Force is with us! May is a very special month for Havant, because we get three Alternative Wednesdays. Make a note in your diaries – 3rd, 17th, and 31st.

All the speakers for May are on the web site, so there is no excuse not to visit us and listen to your favourite.

Our fledglings will be busy. They are taking over the evening service on 25th, and will be giving mini-readings at the coffee morning on 27th. Why not make a special trip to give them your support on their development pathway. A little encouragement goes a long way.

… and don’t forget that special day on the 4th …

Well, may be not the Ides, but the 8th and the 22nd. These are the next Alternative Wednesday Evenings at Havant. Evenings where you get to ask questions, get answers, and find out.

(April’s are there, too – 5th and 19th)

Find out what? Each Alternative Evening is hosted by a speaker who will choose a subject, and inspire you to question. The best way to learn is to ask, and this is what the evening is for. To develop your spirituality. To get the answers you need to progress. So bring a friend, bring an open mind, bring £3 for your entrance fee and a cuppa at half-time.

Our web page has the latest speakers list – go visit and find out more.

Better late then never! How was 2016 for you? clip_image002

As usual it brought some changes for the church, some good, some otherwise. But 2016 is in the past, let it go. Let’s look forward to 2017 and all the possibilities of a new year. It is, after all, what you make it. I say it will be a good year – but that is because I want it to be. What about you? What are you going to do to make it good?

I’ve started by putting the speakers for January on our website – havantspiritualistchurch.com – go check out the details!

(Alternative Wednesday is 18th January)

… and have a good one!

Cold, dark, damp. But not at Havant Spiritualist Church – the welcome is warm, the lights are on, and the only dampness is tea or coffee!clip_image002

A bonus – this month we have three Alternative Wednesdays; 2nd – 16th – 30th.

Coffee morning on 26th with our fledglings, so drop in for a chat, and give them a chance to practice on you.

Our Sunday morning service, for the early birds, is the 6th.

Check out the web site for latest details and lots of other information – havantspiritualistchurch.com

We look forward to seeing you.

It’s nearly September, the summer comes and goes, and the new speakers list is on the web site.

An interesting month for our visitors:

Alternative evenings on 7th and 21st – as usual, bring your questions, a friend, an open mind, and £3 to get in.

Fledglings go for it on 14th – come and support those early on their pathway

Our Open Day on Saturday 17th – our doors are open all day, and we welcome everyone. Come and talk to us and find out more about Spiritualism – lots of things to see and do – and there’s tea and biscuits, too!

Saturday 24th is Coffee Morning – tea, coffee, biscuits (cake if you are lucky), and a chat – also mini readings with Minister Alan Baker.

We look forward to meeting you (and, of course, greeting old friends)

I’ve just posted the list of July speakers on the web site, so nip across and have a look.

We have our special ALTERNATIVE Wednesdays on 13th and 27th, and a coffee morning on 30th.

If you have questions, then our alternative evenings will give you the chance to get answers. Bring a friend, bring £3 each for entry and a cuppa, but most important, bring an open mind.

Be there.

A reminder that this Wednesday (24/2/2016) is an Alternative evening. These are the evenings where audience participation is part of the proceedings.

It is an evening where you can bring your questions, debate with the speaker, and hopefully learn more about Spiritualism, and yourself. Our speaker for the evening is Bill Roberts.

Bring a friend, and an open mind – and we look forward to seeing you.

(£3 on the door – and that includes a cuppa at half time)

Friday 13 November 2015. An Evening of Trance with Stephen Smith. Ticket only event. See our web site for details

Saturday 28 November 2015. ‘Christmas’ Quiz night with buffet supper. Full details on our web site

… and speakers list for November is there, too.

Of course the web site can be found … here.

Dates for October are on our website. But before that we have our Open Day on Saturday 26 September, starting at 10am. Everyone is welcome, there will be talks and discussions, readings, healing and, most important, tea and coffee. Pop along for a chat, we will be pleased to see you.

In October we have two more Wednesday Alternative Evenings, on 14 and 28, and we will be trying something different on Sunday 18 for our evening service, too.
