clip_image002The speakers for August have been add to the web site. While I was there I added a ‘Thought for the Week’ for your perusal and consideration, too.

You’ll find all you need at: havantspiritualistchurch.com

We are holding an open day on 2 June 2018. Doors open at 10am, and for £1 entry, you get tea/coffee, healing, and all the info you can handle.

There will be mediums to give you a reading (£5), books and jewellery for sale, a tombola, and raffle, and more.

Drop in and see us – everyone is welcome.

What joy! Some warm, summer sunshine at last.

Now the evenings are lighter there is no excuse to stay in, in front of the telly, get yourself out and visit Havant Spiritualist church.

We have plenty going on – healing on Tuesday afternoon and Thursday evening; Beginners Circle on Thursday evening (after the healing session); services on Wednesday and Sunday evening. On Thursday afternoon we have our Craft Group.

For me the highlight is our twice-monthly Alternative evenings (June 14 and 28, July 12 and 26), when you bring along an open mind, prepared to ask questions and find out more about Spiritualism, and spirituality. (There is a small charge, but it’s worth it – you get a free cuppa!)

Visit the web site for more detail

We are please to be back to normal.

The web site has been updated with the speakers and events for January 2014. You will be pleased to see that the coffee morning is back, and we have a bonus of two Alternative Wednesdays in the month. Visit the web site for full details.

We will be pleased to welcome you.Spiritualists National Union

September is going to be a busy month at Havant Spiritualist Church.

Apart from the usual Sunday and Wednesday services, we have these special events:

Saturday 31 August

Coffee morning – Everyone is welcome to drop in for a cup of tea (or coffee) and a chat. There is a medium available for 5 minute mini-readings, too.

Wednesday 4 September

Fledglings Evening – An evening when those who are in training to work on the platform get a chance to work with a live audience, under the watchful eye of a fully trained medium. Your support is appreciated, remember they are learning and developing their skills.

Wednesday 11 September

ALTERNATIVE EVENING – Our regular evening for those who want to know more about the science and philosophy of Spiritualism. This is the evening where you get to ask the questions. It is your chance to get answers from the speaker of the evening. Seekers, bring a friend and an open mind. Sometimes an Alternative Evening will overrun if discussions need to be completed.

Entrance is £2 on the door, that includes a cuppa at half time.

Saturday 14 September

OPEN DAY – Our second open day of 2013. There will be speakers to enlighten you, and mediums available for readings, and refreshments with (we hope) homemade cakes. There will be our usual book and jewellery stalls, and raffle. You are invited to come along, take part and chat to us. We are a very friendly bunch.

Saturday 28 September

Another coffee morning, with tea or coffee, mini-readings and the chance to chat and chill-out.

We look forward to welcoming you to our church. If it is your first visit introduce yourself and tell us what you think. If you’ve been before – welcome back.

Phew! It’s pretty warm out there, but we want you to visit the coolest place around.

We want you to come to our Alternative night, a night for finding out, for asking questions, for seeking your truth. It is not the usual type of service, but an event where you can influence the proceedings.

Usual rules apply. Stay cool.

Alternative

What strange times we are going through … how are the planetary alignments for you?

These are ‘dog days’. Days when, in ancient times, the dog star Sirius rose with the solar dawn. Hot days, days when – “the Sea boiled, the Wine turned sour, Dogs grew mad, and all other creatures became languid; causing to man, among other diseases, burning fevers, hysterics, and phrensies.” (Brady’s Clavis Calendaria, 1813).

In Chinese astronomy it is the rising of the Vermilion Bird of the South – who we know better as the Phoenix.

The next Alternative Wednesday falls in these dog days – what will it bring forth? Come along and see. Usual rules, same time, same place.

Flaming June!

Well maybe not, but it is Solstice month so we thought we’d post an appropriate picture. Our June Alternative night is Wednesday 26 June. We hope you can trek back from The Stones in time!

Bring your questions, your friends, your family, but most importantly, your enquiring mind. Our ordinary Wednesday Raffle will be there, too.

Usual rules; entry, £2 on the door, doors open 7 pm for 7.30 start, refreshments included. We’ll be waiting for you.

We’re getting ready for the next Alternative Wednesday – what will happen this time? Who will be our speaker? Perhaps there will be more than one. Who knows?

The usual rules apply – doors open 7:00pm for a 7:30pm start – entry is £2 on the door – refreshments are included. And as usual all you’ve got to do is bring a friend, and an open mind.

See you there.
