clip_image002It’s a been a while since the last post … how’s that for a pun.

It was only yesterday that buglers sounded The Last Post in ceremonies of remembrance across the United Kingdom. But the last post on this web site was in September.

Minister Bruton at Havant with our own Minister, Alan Baker

Yesterday, Spiritualism was represented at the Cenotaph for the first time. Minister David Bruton, President of the SNU, attended and joined with members of 15 other religions. Read the report here.

For my thoughts on our annual ceremonies, please visit our ‘Thought for the Week’ page. No response is required or expected, just some inner contemplation.

clip_image002Phew! June is really ‘flaming’. With daytime temperatures around 30C (86F) we in UK are enjoying a long heat-wave. The hot weather looks set to lead us in to July – so if you need a cool place to be, visit us!

Our web site has all the speakers for July, so drop in and see your favourite. For all the information about what’s happening at Havant SC, go to

clip_image002A bit late this week – struggling with poor internet connection,

Sometimes our Alternative evenings become more of a general discussion when there are lots of items brought forward. On Wednesday 3 March it was a bit like that, but overall the theme was Brotherhood. Take a look at our web site …

clip_image002Wow! What an evening! So many subjects – so little time! We discussed God, The Big Bang, and right through to Star Wars and unicorns. You shoulda been there!

Visit our Thought for the Week page.

Hey! This week the discussion at our Alternative Evening was about development. Not muscles, but spiritual development.

Go to our Thought for the Week web page and have a read.

To make things more interesting we have added a new page to our website.

It’s a ‘Thought for the week‘. Probably a subject we’ve been thinking about, or that has come to our attention, that we feel is worthy of some philosophical thought. You don’t have to take it as the whole truth and nothing but the truth; think about the content – discover your truth.

The first subject is … Love. Go take a look.

Happy new year, everyone!

We are back to normal again. For full details of what’s happening at our church please visit our web site – – there you will find the list of speakers for the coming couple of months.

If you have wondered about Spiritualism, why not pay us a visit, and ask some questions. Our Alternative Wednesdays are designed just for you to do that.

We look forward to seeing you.

What joy! Some warm, summer sunshine at last.

Now the evenings are lighter there is no excuse to stay in, in front of the telly, get yourself out and visit Havant Spiritualist church.

We have plenty going on – healing on Tuesday afternoon and Thursday evening; Beginners Circle on Thursday evening (after the healing session); services on Wednesday and Sunday evening. On Thursday afternoon we have our Craft Group.

For me the highlight is our twice-monthly Alternative evenings (June 14 and 28, July 12 and 26), when you bring along an open mind, prepared to ask questions and find out more about Spiritualism, and spirituality. (There is a small charge, but it’s worth it – you get a free cuppa!)

Visit the web site for more detail

The Force is with us! May is a very special month for Havant, because we get three Alternative Wednesdays. Make a note in your diaries – 3rd, 17th, and 31st.

All the speakers for May are on the web site, so there is no excuse not to visit us and listen to your favourite.

Our fledglings will be busy. They are taking over the evening service on 25th, and will be giving mini-readings at the coffee morning on 27th. Why not make a special trip to give them your support on their development pathway. A little encouragement goes a long way.

… and don’t forget that special day on the 4th …
